Project Overview
Our clients came to Ken Spears Construction with hopes of creating a beautiful new kitchen in their home in DeKalb. While they loved their current DeKalb County home, they wanted to completely overhaul their dark outdated kitchen. They not only wanted to expand the size of their kitchen, but also wanted to change the layout to create additional storage. Their current kitchen also lacked proper lighting and much needed prep space.
For the design of their new kitchen, our clients wanted to incorporate a copper theme throughout. Our team handpicked custom maple cabinets, Quartz countertops, and stunning copper pendant lights to coordinate with the copper vent hood selected by the homeowners. Our clients also wanted to refinish the original hardwood floors in the kitchen and throughout the entire main floor.

How Was the Problem Solved?
Our team started off by removing the original cabinets and soffits, so that the new maple cabinets and Silestone Copper Mist countertops could be installed. Next, we added under cabinet and recessed lighting to help brighten up the space. After that, we incorporated the homeowner's copper theme by installing a new copper vent hood and matching copper pendant lights. Our team tied the look together with grey painted maple cabinets, a Herringbone patterned backsplash, and gorgeous refinished hardwood floors throughout the entire first floor. Now our clients have a remarkable new kitchen that they'll be able to enjoy for many years to come.
