Lead Paint Safety
DeKalb, IL- Feb 18, 2010 - Greg Spears and Brian Billing from Ken Spears Construction, Inc. recently attended a Lead Safety Training seminar in West Chicago, IL. This 8-hour session used both classroom and hands-on experiences to learn lead-safe procedures necessary to comply with the new Renovation, Repair, and Painting Lead Law which becomes effective on April 22, 2010. The designation of an EPA Certified Renovator will allow Ken Spears Construction, Inc. to do lead-safe renovation, repair, and painting work in pre-1978 housing and in child-occupied facilities where work will disturb lead-based paint.
